Scope and Review Policy
IJMTIP publishes original, high-quality research and practice papers on mathematics teaching and interdisciplinary practices. Submissions undergo an initial editorial screening for scope and quality; suitable manuscripts are sent for double-blind peer review.

General Submission Requirements

  • The work must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

  • Submission language: English.

  • Use clear academic writing and a logical structure with section headings.

  • All included content (figures, images, datasets, instruments, software) must be original or used with permission and proper citation.

  • Studies with human participants must comply with ethical guidelines and include approval from a recognized ethics committee when applicable.

  • Prepare your manuscript using the official IJMTIP Word template; keep all template styles intact.

Manuscript Format

  • File type: Microsoft Word (.docx)

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Length: 4,000–8,000 words (excluding references and appendices)

  • Referencing style: APA 7th edition

Section-by-Section Guidance

  • Abstract: 150–250 words summarizing aim, context/participants, activity basis (topic/model), data sources, key findings, and recommendations.

  • Keywords: 4–6 terms, comma-separated.

  • Introduction: Context, significance, positioning in literature, aims, and (if relevant) research questions.

  • Theoretical Framework (Optional): Briefly state the model/approach and its connection to the study; omit if not used.

  • Design and Implementation of the Activity: Intended learning outcomes (link to relevant curricula where appropriate), materials, duration/setting, and step-by-step flow (introduction–activity–assessment).

  • Participants and Context: Grade level, numbers, school type, selection/participation details.

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Instruments and data types (e.g., forms, video, rubrics), analysis methods (e.g., content/descriptive), inter-rater reliability if applicable.

  • Findings and Discussion: Organized presentation with interpretation; include illustrative quotes/products/behaviors; relate to literature; discuss unexpected results and instructional implications.

  • Conclusion and Recommendations: Overall contributions, developed competencies, practical recommendations, and directions for future research.

  • References: APA 7; include only works cited in text.

  • Appendices: Instruments, rubrics, sample artifacts, task sheets, etc.

  • Ethics Statement: Provide committee name and approval number/date where applicable (e.g., “Approved by …, No: 2024/XX”); otherwise state “Not applicable.”

  • Author Contributions / Funding / Conflict of Interest: Clearly specify roles, support, and any conflicts (or state none).

Figures, Tables, and Permissions

  • Number tables/figures consecutively; provide concise titles and notes.

  • Place items near first mention in the text.

  • Ensure readability and APA-consistent captions.

  • Obtain and document permissions for third-party materials as required.

Template Use Tips

  • Write directly in the official IJMTIP .docx template to preserve layout and styles.

  • Keep the provided heading levels and styles consistent.

  • Do not alter template metadata/helper fields.

Final Checklist

  • Word count 4,000–8,000 (excluding references/appendices)

  • Permission has been obtained to use any third-party materials (e.g., photos, datasets).
